How do I manage my music copyright?

1) ALL BY YOURSELF: You are the one to grant permission to make your creations public on tv, radio or the internet and you collect possible royalties.
2) YOURSELF USING CREATIVE COMMONS-licenses. You make your music available under conditions. You will keep your own rights but you grant others permission to distribute your music, for commercial or non-commercial use. You have to collect yourself possible royalties.
3) YOURSELF VIA VILLAMUSICRIGHTS. You are managing your own rights by uploading your music on their website. You choose a model license. Home users may download your music or free, business users have to pay. VillaMusicRights takes care of collecting royalties.
4) BY A COLLECTING SOCIETY. In this case you transfer all your rights to your music, even future music. Societies like PRS and ASCAP will be exploiting your rights and take care of collecting royalties.
